On the 19th December, 2018, Westside Grovely FC held its Annual General Meeting. We are pleased to announce the management committee election results as follows:
- President: Gary Kelk
- Secretary: Louissa Jesson
- Treasurer: Michael Eaton
- Club Admin/Registrar: Teagan Kimeklis
- General Committee: Theon Kimball
- General Committee: Sean Grady
Congratulations to the new committee members! We’d like to give our thanks and appreciation to retiring committee members Leah Plunkett and Eloise Kelk. Leah and Ellie will still be involved in club activities next season.
A Life Membership was awarded to Tom Cooper for 20 consecutive years of membership and playing service. Tom currently plays in the Men’s Capital 2 squad and his family have long been involved in coaching and managing over the years. Tom’s dad Peter played open Men’s with Westside and currently plays in our over 35s team. Congratulations to Tom for this milestone achievement!

We use the Annual General Meeting to:
- Review and endorse the Club’s financial position 2017/18
- Vote in the new Management Committee
The Club’s Management Committee comprises a minimum of four (4) and a maximum of six (6) positions, consisting of:
- Club Administrator/Registrar
- General Committee
- General Committee
Westside FC is run by members for members, and all positions are held on a volunteer basis. At the AGM the current Management Committee positions are declared vacant and open for election.
For 2018/19 we are actively seeking nominations for a Secretary and a General Committee person, so if you are interested in a position on the Management Committee, you are encouraged to nominate. A nomination form is attached and additional forms are available at the clubhouse or by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like to volunteer for a non-Management Committee role within the Club, a 2019 Club Positions list showing vacant roles is attached to this email. In particular, we are seeking:
- Grants Coordinator
- Program Coordinator – Juniors
- Referee Coordinators – Miniroos, Juniors, and Seniors
- Fundraising Coordinator
- Canteen Coordinator

Registrations for 2018 are now open online at myfootballclub.com.au. As per last year, all registrations must be made online. For more information including our registration guide and fees, please visit our Registration Page.
Sign-on days at the clubhouse are:
- Saturday 20th January, 9am to 3pm
- Wednesday 24th January, 6pm to 9pm
We will have computers available if you need assistance with the registration process. Otherwise please bring your registration invoice with you should you wish to pay at the clubhouse
We will also have an open day later in February when you can sign-on and pay fees as well – date to be advised.
For 2018 season, we will be developing our own Club Referee Program to supply Referees and Assistant Referees to all slots not covered by Football Brisbane. Anyone aged 13 or older from Jan 1st 2018 is eligible to join although you must be at least 14 to apply to be a Club Centre Referee. And because we had so may uncovered slots on Senior matches, we also encourage more mature members to apply perhaps – and most especially – those who think too many Referees perform poorly. Appointed Club Referees will be paid at FB official rates.
