Football (soccer) is one of the most rapidly
growing team sports in Australia and with the development of the womens
W-League there is clear evidence that there is a great future for our
female players.
AUSTRALIAN PLAYER OFFERS ADVICE TO GIRLS: 30th May
Stephanie
Burton, goal keeper for the Australian Under 18 School Girls team,
spent time giving one-on-one coaching tips to our womens goal keeper
and watching the girls game and the womens game. She also took
the time to speak with the girls after their game answering questions
about her international playing career and giving inspiring advice as
to how to follow their dreams of playing at an elite level.
Stephanie has been playing soccer for Lindsey Wilson College,
USA, and will be moving to Union College in the near future. She is
back home during the USA off-season. Our appreciation goes to Stephanie
for giving up her time to share her experience.
