FENCE SPONSORSHIP PROJECT

Over the weekend of 6 & 7 November 2010 a team
of dedicated Club volunteers contructed the new sponsorship fence along
the western side of the main field. The construction process was overseen by
Matt Swain and Peter Eacott who donated considerable resources in
organising materials and loaning equipment. The Downey family
maintained their fine reputation for Club service by having all 6
members actively involved. The Downey boys handled the
concrete mixing like seasoned veterans. The
success of the project was enhanced by all involved living the Club
motto. All areas of the Club were represented in the volunteer
labour squad. The project was made possible by the
dedicated efforts of Barry McErlean who organised it with meticilous
detail which is shown in the finished product. This 80 metres of fencing
provides the foundation for a number of sponsors to advertise at
competitive rates with spaces still available. Interested parties are
encouraged to contact Barry McErlean on 0428235870 or email btaj@bigpond.com
for futher details.
