All teams MUST train at the allocated time, ensuring no other teams are
inconvenienced. Should your team have a legitimate reason why you
are unable to train at the designated time; you may make a written request to
the Management Committee who will decide the issue.
TRAINING
GEAR: All players are reminded it is a
Football Brisbane requirement that you train and play in football boots and wear
shin guards. This is a safety issue and future departures from this policy will
see players excluded from football based activities until wearing the
appropriate gear.
Junior Training Days and Team
Allocation
Each age group will train as a ‘squad’ for the first few
weeks following sign-on. This allows for final numbers to be
ascertained and for player skill levels to be assessed.
The benefit is for ALL players to receive
equal opportunity to be selected in teams that most accurately reflect and will
enhance their level of development.
For non-competition age groups, the primary aim will be
to form equal teams in terms of skill level and gender. There is usually no
grading of non-competition age groups however the under 10s and under 11s may be
subject to allocation based on the Football Brisbane 'Gecko - Goanna - Komodo
Dragon' system.
During this period potential coaches will be
identified and allocated to teams once the team numbers are finalised. The
Junior Vice President will co-ordinate this process. |
